Suyama Sengen Jinja Shrine / 須山浅間神社

Suyama Sengen Jinja Shrine is one of Sengen Jinja Shrine all over Japan and was a starting point of Suyama Trail(Present:Gotemba trail).

It is said that Suyama Sengen Jinja Shrine was built by YAMATO Takeru no Mikoto(a prince of Emperor Keiko, a hero in ancient Japan). At the latest, it is known that Suyama Sengen Jinja Shrine existed in 1524 of the Muromachi era.

Suyama Sengen Jinja Shrine is registered as World Heritage as periferal assets of “Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration”.
