Motosuko Lake is one of Fujigoko Lakes(Five lakes around Mount Fuji) and located on the western edge of them.
In addition, the depth of the water of Motosuko Lake is 138meters and the deepest in Fujigoko Lakes(Five lakes around Mount Fuji).
Senoumi was divided by the lava flow of Mount Fuji, so Motosuko Lake was born.

Motosuko Lake has high transparency, so the lake is fantastic and beautiful.
Sakasa Fuji(Mount Fuji as reflected in a lake) which is printed on a 1,000 yen bill and the former 5,000 yen bill is the view from Motosuko Lake.
